Comment: I purchased Spyware Doctor about two months ago and run it every
day without any spyware being detected of any name or kind.
Before buying this spyware, I researched this product and found the
reviews positive.
This has to be the worst spyware I ever purchased and spent good money for.
Do not understand why this positive review, but it is a joke!
Please save your money and do not buy this spyware!!!!!!!!

Summary: Computer LOCK-UP
Comment: Major head-on crash with other software. In the middle of a boot-up virus scan, everything locked tight. Technical assistance told me to disable all my other security functions. Spyware Doctor is such a resource hog it caused total lock-up of my system... to the point nothing worked except powering off the machine - one of those things you should do only as a last resort! Cancelling the annual subscription was easy, once I finally got through the on-line maze to Germany to cancel. There is no email address with the marketing company to contact if you have issues. I agree with another review - Zero Stars would be more appropriate.

Comment: This is nothing short of sabotage. I have 2.8 gHz Pentium with 2Gig RAM and run Windows XP. Sure my comp is far from being top of the line, but it is still pretty solid, but guess what? This piece of c***p made my comp UNUSABLE. It is not that everything is slow, everything just simply wont work! I get to see my desktop and thats about it, after this fake doctor rolls his sleeves up that's it, nothing else will work. At first I thought that my comp some kind of a fatal virus and was even thinking about reinstalling Windows but then I remembered that I just downloaded this product and decided to disable and -bingo! My comp was back to normal. DO NOT BUY!!!

Comment: Since i have AOL it fights a bit with McAvee so i have had to leave it off most of the time. Once a week i turn it back on and let it go to work. It does a really good job.

Summary: spyware doctor slows your computer intolerably
Comment: I just purchased Spyware Doctor 5.5. I run Windows 2000. The application rendered my computer unusable by slowing down even the smallest task such as clicking on the start button and getting the shutdown window. I uninstalled it immediately. I do not know whether getting the trial version would reveal this flaw but I recommend to potential users that they not buy the application purely on the recommendation of magazines.
